Changelog
What changed on this site, newest first. Because every page is generated from one dataset, a data correction shows up across the whole site at once — this page records when that happened.
| Date | Change | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-10-11 | Tools and theme | Added the habitat calculator and the compatibility checker, both driven by the same official data as the rest of the site. The site moved to a light theme with a dark-mode switch, and the official announcement trailer is embedded on the release date page. |
| 2026-10-11 | Trust pages | Published editorial policy, this changelog, and (alongside them) the about, privacy and terms pages, so the sourcing and funding of the site are stated in full. |
| 2026-10-09 | Site launch | First release: 130 species pages, the 1,221-pair compatibility chart, system requirements, release date, aquarium, aviary, Deluxe and game-mode pages — all generated from the official Zoopedia export of 2026-10-01. |
| 2026-10-09 | Dataset published | The underlying species dataset (CSV / JSON) published on GitHub and archived with a DOI so it can be cited and reused under CC BY 4.0. |

Species data updates whenever Frontier pushes a new Zoopedia payload; the reveal dates on the animal list are what we use to spot a fresh drop. Spotted something that has changed in game but not here? Email asrocky010@gmail.com.
