Terms of use
Plain terms for a plain reference site: read it, use it, don't rely on it as a substitute for Frontier's own documentation, and don't pretend Frontier wrote it.

1. Acceptance
By using PZ2 Tools you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
2. What this site is
PZ2 Tools is an unofficial, independent fan reference for Planet Zoo 2. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by Frontier Developments plc. Planet Zoo and all related names, logos, artwork and assets are the property of Frontier Developments plc and/or its licensors, and are used here only to identify the game and its animals. 3. Accuracy, and what "official data" means
Everything on this site is generated from Frontier's own published data (the official Zoopedia payload, the Steam store page and Frontier's help pages) with no hand-entered numbers. Even so:
- Frontier changes things between datamines, patches and launch. Data on this site is a snapshot, dated on the page it appears.
- Derived content — chiefly the animal compatibility chart — is our own interpretation of official text. Every row shows the quote it was judged from, and pairs we cannot settle are marked unverified rather than decided for you.
- Fields the source does not provide are shown as a dash. We do not fill gaps with guesses.
The site is provided as is and as available. We make no warranty that it is complete, current or error-free, and we are not liable for any loss arising from relying on it. Always treat the game itself as the final authority.
4. Your use of the site
You may read, link to and quote this site for personal, educational and editorial use. Please do not:
- Present the site or its content as official Frontier material, or as your own original work without attribution.
- Scrape or mirror it at a scale that degrades service for other readers.
- Frame it so that our content appears to be part of another site.
- Use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that interferes with its operation.
5. The dataset
The cleaned dataset — the species table and the co-habitation matrix — is published under CC BY 4.0: reuse it, remix it and redistribute it commercially, as long as you credit the source. The dataset is available on GitHub and archived with a DOI at Zenodo. That licence covers the data we produced; it does not grant any rights in Frontier's underlying game, artwork or trademarks.
6. Third-party links and services
Pages here link to external sites (Steam, GitHub, Kaggle, Zenodo, YouTube, Frontier). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or terms. Advertising is served by third parties under their own policies, described in our privacy policy.
7. Intellectual property
The site's own text, structure and layout are ours. Frontier's artwork, names and marks remain Frontier's. If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, email asrocky010@gmail.com and we will act on it promptly.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its maintainer are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including decisions made about hardware purchases, edition choices or zoo planning based on the data here.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the site changes. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
