Planet Zoo 2 compatibility checker — can these two share an enclosure?

Two dropdowns, one verdict. Pick any two of the 130 launch species and this checker reads the answer out of Frontier's own Social & Reproduction text, shows the biome and enclosure type they share, and quotes the sentence it used. It is the companion to the full compatibility chart, which lists all 1,221 species pairs at once.

Check a pair

Can these two live together?

Verdicts: Likely OK means the official text describes both species as social, herd-living or living in mixed groups. Unverified means the text never says — we show you the gap instead of guessing. Not compatible means at least one species is described as solitary.

Who can live with one animal?

Start from a species you already own

Every other launch species that shares its biome and enclosure type, split into the pairs the official text supports and the ones it leaves open. Use it to shortlist a multispecies habitat before you build.

What the checker does not claim

A compatible verdict is not a guarantee. It means the official descriptions do not contradict each other — the game still applies its own habitat rules, and exhibits cannot be mixed into a walk-in enclosure. Treat a positive verdict as a shortlist to test in game, and read the quoted sentence before you build.

How do I check if two Planet Zoo 2 animals are compatible?
Open the checker, choose both species and read the verdict. Under the hood it looks up the pair in the 1,221-row matrix built from the official Zoopedia: a pair only qualifies when the two species share at least one biome and one enclosure type, and the verdict comes from the Social & Reproduction wording of both species' pages.
Why does an aquarium animal never match a land animal?
Because they share no enclosure type. Aquatic species (HabitatAquarium), free-flying birds (HabitatFlying), exhibit species and land habitats are four separate enclosure categories, and the compatibility rule requires a shared enclosure type before behaviour is even considered.
What does Unverified mean?
At least one of the two species has no Social & Reproduction sentence stating whether it is solitary or social. We would rather show the gap and the quote than invent a verdict — there are 106 such pairs in the launch roster.
Can more than two animals share one habitat?
Yes — a multispecies habitat is just a set of pairs that all come back positive. Shortlist the candidate species here, then confirm every pair among them on the compatibility chart and size the build with the habitat calculator.
